The Lord’s Chapel Children Church also known as the junior church is an essential unit of the RCCG –The Lord’s Chapel. It consists of the teenage and children church and its head is the minister in charge, Pastor Mrs F. Omokorede and Deaconess A Odedina as the head of department. The Children church is located at the basement of the RCCG TLC Building while the teenage church is on the second floor. Both facilities are fully equipment for comfort and learning enhancement.

The children are also grouped into classes according to their ages so they can be taught at their various levels of understanding. The scripture in Proverbs 22:6 says ‘Train up your child in the way he should go’, and when he is old, he will not depart from it. In line with this injunction, the junior church is committed to showing these young minds the right way through trainings with the purpose of dedicating them to God and His will, accomplished by separating them from the world’s evil influences and by instructing them in godly conduct. Parents must encourage their children to seek God for themselves, and thus enjoy genuine spiritual experience they will never forget. This will also guarantee their rest (peace) in future.

The children are also exposed to trainings in playing musical instruments and crafts etc because God wants us to praise Him with diverse instruments. They also go for inspiring excursions like visiting orphanages which opens them up to appreciating God for the gift of parents and teaching them to love and share with others especially the less privileged ones. All these are accomplished through the help and guidance of dedicated and inspired teachers who constantly undergo trainings and also through the unalloyed support of the RCCG – TLC whose feeded unit we are. Remain blessed as you bring your children to have an experience with the Lord under our care.

Bible Quote

Come unto me, all you that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and you shall find rest unto your souls.

Matt 11: 28

What can we understand or say about ‘Temptation’? Temptation is the desire to do or have something that you know is bad or wrong, that is, to commit sin and stop loving God.

In the Bible, the children of Jonadab also referred to as Rechabites were tempted to disobey their father’s instruction, but they stood with the word of God and overcame the temptation. We need to understand that temptation is not a sin, but yielding to it is a sin.

1.    The Devil

2.    Our Friends

3.    Our Neighbours

4.    The society we live etc

Obedience to the word of God is a source of strength during temptation.

Jesus is another source of strength during temptations, that is, why he depend on the written word of God to overcome temptation. Many times He do say, “ It is written” in that same way, we can overcome temptation and thereby have victory.

Temptation is common to all Children of God. Jesus himself was tempted. Go also made a promise that when we were tempted, there will be a way out.

1.    Inheritance of all things

2.    You will have the crown of life

3.    Success

4.    Protection
